07.11.2023, Digital Pioneers: Artificial Intelligence in the Media Industry with Startup Pohnt (English), 17:00-18:30

Subtitles are the new standard, in both video streaming and on social media. More and more videos are being watched with subtitles. This is due to the increasing number of hearing-impaired people (2 billion worldwide) as well as the fact that 70% of Generation Z almost always watch subtitled videos.

We at Phont, have set the goal to make subtitles as diverse as language itself. With the help of a specially developed Artificial Intelligence (AI), we recognize language characteristics such as emotions in spoken language and display them with AI-developed design. The result is emotional subtitles that are an immersive and accessible way to experience emotions and other language features in media content. Our solution is ideal for streaming services but also cinemas and social media.
