How sustainable are textiles sold online? How can you tell whether jeans, T-shirts or summer dresses are really produced and sold in an environmentally friendly way? This is not yet clearly visible, but it should be.
An algorithm that makes sustainability information, e.g. on water consumption and the use of child labor in the production of an item of clothing, more easily accessible helps here. Where trustworthy data for the algorithm for the algorithm, how it is used and evaluated and why numerous well-known companies are involved in the Federal Ministry for the Environment's project.

Daniel Iglesias, a child of migrant workers and father of two, brings 17 years of professional experience from various roles at major banks and the Big 4 to his role as founder and managing director of "Digi Sapiens - Digital Learning GmbH".
This 2021 Hessian Founder Award-winning company, specializing in language technology, was founded in 2020. The founder, Daniel, combines personal and professional perspectives to use AI-powered solutions to literacy and language skills to enable greater social and professional mobility. His work includes collaborations with prestigious partners such as Ernst Klett Verlag and leading universities.
In his talk, he shares insights into his own educational journey and the principles of success as an entrepreneur with a migrant background. He will also present the world's first fully AI-based application for diagnosing and and promotion of reading fluency: the LaLeTu (phonetic reading tutor - www.laletu.de). Following his presentation, he will be available to answer questions from the participants.
