Job application training

Female Career Trainings

Technical sectors in particular are still often dominated by men and in many cases only male colleagues sit in interviews or team meetings. However, women are often more reserved in the application process than men and have difficulties "selling themselves well". In these workshops, women learn how to plan their careers, present themselves confidently and achieve their (professional) goals.

Note: These offers are aimed exclusively at women and people who identify as women.

(DEU) 03.05.2024: Empowerment training for women: "Asserting yourself in a male domain", 4:00-6:00 pm

Whether in traditional industry, engineering or the financial sector - in many, particularly technical industries and degree courses, the proportion of women is still below 20%. As a female student planning to start your career in one of these typical "male domains", you are concerned with questions such as: What can I do to assert myself in a male domain? Do I have to adapt or perhaps even pretend in order to be successful? In this 2-hour interactive training session, we want to get to the bottom of these questions and take the first steps towards your authentic style for a successful appearance in the male domain. It is held in German.

Objectives: The aim of the workshop is to give each participant concrete impulses to reflect on their previous behavior and to get to know suitable ideas for each personality type on how to develop authentic behavior in the workplace that leads to being seen and advancing in their career.

The students learn to deal with "typically female" and "typically male" behavior in the workplace in a differentiated way and to find an alignment with personal strengths and preferences.

Contents:

  • We take a critical look at "typically male" and "typically female" behavior in the workplace
  • We examine the ideal characteristics of a manager in the modern and future world of work
  • We discover which beliefs and blockages are currently preventing you from being authentic and self-confident in your environment
  • We practise concrete strategies to ensure that your valuable contributions are heard in meetings and presentations
  • We use the "self-promotion wheel" to learn ways to achieve an authentic style in the workplace that doesn't feel like "pretending"
